Worth-ship.

"Worth-ship" has been a topic, and an undercurrent of many recent sermons and quiet times.

Giving worth to things.

Declaring them worthy of our time, our resources, our love...

And allowing other things, better things, to slip through the cracks.

Holding fast to old habits and crutches, rather than clinging to truth when things get a little messy.

I don't remember who first said it, but "We are all theologians" we all make choices based off of who we believe God is.

We pout and say He is unfair, though it contradicts His scripture.

We whine and say He is not providing, though this too is a lie.

We, whether scholars or illiterate, build a theology by our obedience to Him. 

We choose to continue living ignorant of His truth.

We hold onto worthless, empty, crap (to put it plainly).

Choosing to believe the present circumstance over truth that has transcended generations. 

Negative Nancy, I know... but seriously!

Our identity, our worth... is Him. Only Him.

We are here to worship Him.

To give Him all.

To declare Him worthy of our worship (err... worth-ship).
